About Disney's The Lion King

Disney's The Lion King at the Lyceum Theatre, London is Disney's internationally celebrated musical, reimagined by acclaimed director Julie Taymor. It brings Disney's film to the stage as a musical production centred on Simba and his journey from cub to his destined role as King of the Pridelands.

The show combines colour, effects and music in a stage version of a familiar story, making it a strong choice if you are looking for a musical with a well-known narrative and a large-scale theatrical style.

The production runs for 2 hours and 30 minutes including one interval. Performances are Tuesday to Saturday at 7.30pm, with matinees on Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday at 2.30pm. Strobe lighting is used several times during the performance.

Before you book

Age guidance: Children under 3 are not permitted to enter the Lyceum Theatre. The Lion King is recommended for ages 6 and up. Anyone aged 16 or under must be accompanied by an adult and may not sit on their own in the auditorium. All persons entering the theatre, regardless of age, must have a ticket.

Tickets and delivery: You will receive a confirmation email. If you choose box office collection, print the confirmation and bring it on the day, at least 30 minutes before the performance start time. If you choose e-tickets, they will be sent by email and can be printed at home.

Arrival and entry: The venue opens 90 minutes before the start time. Guests must be seated no later than 5 minutes before the performance begins. Arrive early, as latecomers may need to wait before being seated and could miss part of the show. Please switch off mobile phones completely once the performance starts. No refunds or exchanges are available after purchase. For seating, arrive 45 minutes before start time for Grand Circle standing positions, 60 minutes before for Stalls and Boxes E and K, and 75 minutes before for Royal Circle and Boxes A, B, F and G.
