Wellness for Winter: Sound Bath with Fi

Winter can be one of the tougher seasons. The nights start drawing in, we spend more time indoors and it can become all too easy to retreat a little from the things – and people – that help us feel good.

That’s why, from September to December, our monthly Talk & Talk sessions are becoming Wellness for Winter – a series of free sessions giving men the opportunity to try practical tools, techniques and experiences that could support their mental and physical wellbeing through the winter months.

And for October we are delighted to welcome Fi who will lead us in a sound bath session.

Why a Sound Bath?

A sound bath offers a gentle opportunity to step away from everyday responsibilities and distractions, giving you permission to pause and turn your attention inward.

The soothing sounds and vibrations of crystal singing bowls and percussion instruments can help you relax, calm your nervous system and create space to reconnect with your thoughts, feelings and inner self. As your body settles, you may find yourself moving into a deeper state of consciousness where the body can soothe and heal from within.

What to Expect

You’ll be invited to lie down comfortably and immerse yourself in the sounds of crystal singing bowls and a variety of percussion instruments. The sounds and vibrations will gently surround you, creating a peaceful space to switch off from the outside world and simply be present.

There is nothing you need to do and no experience is required, simply relax, listen and allow yourself to experience the sounds in your own way. A chance to pause, reconnect and turn your attention back to yourself.

You can come along to any session that sparks your interest. There’s no expectation that everything will be for everyone – Wellness for Winter is about trying different things and discovering what works for you.

Who can attend?

This is a FREE, men-only session for men aged 18+ living in Leighton Buzzard and the surrounding area.

You don't need to be a member of Walk & Talk for MENtal Health and you don't need to have attended one of our Walk & Talk or Talk & Talk sessions before. New faces are always welcome.
