About This Event
Dr Esther Cole will deliver an online session on 22 October 2026 from 13:00, offering a taster of Emotion Focused Family Therapy. The workshop introduces core modules to help therapists support parents in identifying parenting blocks and applying therapeutic skills.
EFFT is a model of working with parents / carers of children (of any age) with mental health / behavioural difficulties. I will give a taster of EFFT - the core modules of work including how to support parents to identify their parenting "blocks" and use therapeutic parenting skills.
There is potential for this session to create huge change in therapists way of working with families! If this taster leaves you wanting to know more about EFFT, it will open you up to working with parents in a non-blaming, deeply therapeutic way, that also provides them with the skills to be more confident supporting their children with mental health / behavioural difficulties.
