Understanding Men’s Mental Health (Part 3) examines the mental and emotional distress experienced by men. The course discusses the tendency to delay seeking support until a crisis occurs. The event is held at Restore in Oxford on 1 December 2026.
at Many men experience mental and emotional distress and delay asking for help. Some wait until they are in crisis, while others never seek support at all. Although men make up around half of the UK population, around three-quarters of deaths by suicide are male. Men are also less likely to access psychological therapies. This course is suitable for anyone interested in better understanding men’s experiences. You do not need to be male to attend. You’ll gain a deeper understanding of men’s mental health and the positive role we can all play in improving outcomes.
