Two extraordinary novels, two buried histories. In Laleh Khadivi 's Female Life on Planet Earth , a daughter uncovers photographs revealing her mother's hidden past in Iran. In Minbak , Ela Lee follows three generations of women whose lives are shaped by dictatorship, displacement and long-held secrets, from South Korea to London. In conversation with Sarah Shaffi , Lee and Khadivi discuss mothers and daughters, political upheaval, inherited trauma and the emotional cost of uncovering the truth. There will be a book signing after this event.
