A crack team of medievalists – who so brilliantly revealed the secrets of the Hereford Mappa Mundi last year – turn their attention to the Bayeux Tapestry. Anya Burgon , Emily Guerry and Amy Jeffs shed light on the imaginative context of the Tapestry, exploring its connections to other monumental artworks from antiquity to the eleventh century - works such as the Bernward bronze doors at Hildesheim in Germany, the Tapestry of Creation in the Cathedral of Girona, and the vast Tree of Life mosaic in Otranto, Italy.
