The Open Door Community Centre in Edinburgh will host a full moon sound bath meditation event on the evening of 28 August 2026 to encourage lunar living.
Come and tap into living in balance with cycle of the moon and through it rediscover and strengthen your instinct and intuition. Lunar living encourages us to view life as cyclical rather then linear and to tap into nature’s ancient rhythms. Through connecting with the cycle of the moon we can rediscover our own instincts and intuition. We can release what no longer serve us and invite in more of what we want and need. On one hand the moon represents our inner darkness - our subconscious mind the dream world our shadows and whatever hides in the darkness. But the moon wouldn’t have light if she weren’t reflecting in the sun and therefore represents the other face of her duality. In this way moon highlights our darkness. She invites us to explore our inner realm to dive into the ocean of our soul. When we track our energy next to that of the moon we are tapping into the way our ancestors tracked their life and growth as well. Not only is this natural it’s easy too. Full Moon Full moon is energetically most potent day of the lunar cycle and it tends to intensify everything which means this is not the time to try new things. This is the day when we can look back at our new moon intentions and aspirations and really see our growth and achievments since. The questions to ask to oneself at this time would be: What have I cultivated since the new moon? What brings me joy? What are my senses telling at this time? What's stopping me from showing myself at my fullest and truest self? The Full moon is also the time of increased psychic ability and emotional sensitivity so you maybe feeling and sensing things extra strong during this time. In her illumanted glory she reflects back to us our hidden layers as she uncovers each one a little more. After the full moon the light starts to wane which means we focus on what we want to release and let go off things that no longer serve us. Come and let's follow the cycle of the moon together harnessing her mystery and power of transformation. Using a combination of shamanic drumming the sound of quartz crystal bowls tibetan singing bowls steel tongues drumrainstick tunning forks and Koshi chimes you'll experience deep and healing relaxation drifting into an altered state of consciousness. This will help you to release feelings of anxiety fear and worry and allow you to benefit from improved sleep increased feelings of happiness energy and a boost for your immune system. Not suitable for pregnant women people living with pacemaker or people suffering with epileptic seizures or acute ear pain. 1 hr 30 min session - £16 per person To book your space buy ticket via All events or : EMAIL - info@marcelatrsova.com and PAY - https://paypal.me/MarcelaTrsova Marcela Trsova is an artist, storyteller, holistic healer and creative community practitioner.
