Explore a few simple ways to use breathing exercises as the start of a therapeutic session. Breathwork can often be a great way to ground ourselves, regulate nerves and allow clients to clarify what's important to them, how they feel and get the most benefit from their therapy session. Keeping the exercises simple, we will discuss a few techniques, key teaching points to use when leading your client through the exercises, troubleshooting and time for questions and discussion so we can learn from each other's experience. As everyone experiences breathing practices differently, it's helpful not only to have personal experience of these breathing practices but hear a range of experiences, common difficulties and ways to accommodate different client experiences with breathing.
