About This Event

The session will explain how chronic stress becomes embedded in the body and how the stress cycle works. It will cover tools within the body, including breathwork techniques, to help break out of chronic stress patterns.

Chronic Stress can happen because of long-term challenging life situations. However we can also experience chronic stress because our body has become stuck in physiological stress patterns which reproduce the stress response over and over again, long after the stressful event itself has passed. The impact on our lives or the lives of our clients under these condition range from feelings of overwhelm, reactivity, constant emotional disregulation, an inability to rest or sleep, or even a total loss of joy.

Understanding how stress can become embedded in the body, creating new ‘normals’ which reinforce the continued stress response can give us a powerful new perspective on how to support clients (and ourselves) through Stress. This session will explain how this ‘Stress Cycle’ works in the body, and how we can use tools within the body including Breathwork techniques to break out of chronic stress cycles.
