Ferus Animi // Terra Nova Online Morning Classes w/ Tom English 12th to 16th April 2027 8:00am–10:00am (BST) // 9:00am–11:00am (CEST) Join Ferus Animi // Terra Nova founder Tom English to dive into a week of online morning classes exploring the theme of ‘Daily Practice’ and the biomechanical considerations, inclusion rationale and philosophical significance of a daily practice form. Class recordings are uploaded each day for asynchronous participants. Participants are welcome to engage with the recordings at a time that suits their own time zone and schedule. Daily Schedule (Times listed below are BST) 07:50–08:00 – Participants join the online Zoom Webinar 08:00–09:30 – Morning Meditation Practice, Daily Embodied Form, Conditioning & Mobility 09:30–10:00 – Q&A on Daily Principles, Theory and Form Discussion (Biomechanics / Rationale / Significance) Sessions will be recorded and uploaded daily for all participants and will remain available until the 15 th July 2027 . Sessions are designed to be undertaken in any suitable space, whether at home or in a studio. At minimum, you will need a small area to move comfortably and a notepad. All sessions will take place via the Zoom Video Webinar Platform . Please ensure that you have the appropriate set-up to join each session promptly and effectively. All joining information will be sent to participants on Sunday 11th April 2027 . About Ferus Animi // Terra Nova Ferus Animi // Terra Nova is a specialist movement organisation based in Europe and the UK. Our mission is to make education in movement, meditation and wilderness practices accessible to the widest possible audience. Our practice-as-research methodology explores neuroscience, evolutionary physiology, functional biomechanics, performance psychology and applied philosophy. Through our educational programmes we seek to locate, synthesise and disseminate pioneering scientific and artistic research in accessible workshop formats that enrich the practices of our students and collaborators. About Tom English Tom English is a lecturer, movement specialist and dance scientist, and the founder of Ferus Animi // Terra Nova. He studied at the Rambert School of Ballet and Contemporary Dance (Foundation Degree), London Contemporary Dance School (Bachelor of Arts with Honours), the Oxford School of Drama (Postgraduate Diploma), Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance (Master of Science with Outstanding Distinction), and Barca Universitas (Certificate in Neurobiology and Sports Performance / Certificate in Neuroscience and Training). He is currently studying for a Master of Studies (MSt) in Mindfulness-based Cognitive Therapy at the University of Oxford. His MSc thesis examined the relationships between mindfulness-based training and flow states in contemporary performance practices. Tom has presented research at institutions including p.a.r.t.s., the UK conservatoires (Rambert, LCDS, NSCD and Trinity Laban), The Embodiment Conference and the European School of Osteopathy. He is the Course Leader of the MA Dance: Performance at London Contemporary Dance School / University of the Arts London, and a member of faculty at the Oxford School of Drama, where he developed curriculum in performance psychology, performance physiology and movement studies. Tom has also worked as a movement consultant for Warner Bros., Working Title Films, Netflix and Universal Pictures. Tom's personal practice is informed by ongoing practice research under the teachings of Grandmaster Tae Yong Lee (Sang Moo), Moshé Feldenkrais, Jon Kabat-Zinn, Kristin Linklater, Wim Hof, Professor Guilherme Arashiro, Mestre Itamar, David Zambrano, Bruno Caverna, Linda Kapetanea, Jozef Fruček, and the writings of Shunryū Suzuki, Yoshi Oïda and Norman Doidge.
