Scheduled for 18 November 2026, this participative session will introduce the use of imagery in therapy. Participants will learn to recognise opportunities for working with imagery and how to ask core questions that facilitate exploration beyond verbal storytelling. The session aims to enhance therapeutic techniques.
Show Me: Imagery. Some Things Cannot Be Said. They Can Be Shown.
The client arrives on time. They talk well. They have told you this story before, and they told someone else before that. Months in, it is a better told story, and nothing has moved. You have tried listening harder. That is not the problem.
The words are not the way in. So try two different words. NOT Tell me . Show Me.
Show Me. 9 Core Questions. None of them why. Completely Client-led.
By the end you will be able to:
Recognise an opportunity to work with Imagery.
Invite a client to work in this way rather than tell the same story.
Know how to ask 9 Core Questions to explore the image.
Reveal perspectives that may not emerge through conversation alone.
Return to the same image in later sessions.
What this session is:
This is a participative session. We invite you to bring your questions and curiosity, and to come ready to engage with us and with other participants. We’ll introduce you to this way of working and create space to explore it together through discussion, questions, a demo and shared reflections.
What it is not:
Training in the full method. The 9 Core Questions are free. Knowing which one to ask, when to stop, and what to do with what comes back requires training. See our website for details. https://awakeningcreativity.co.uk
That is Show Me. 9 Core Questions. Completely client-led. Part of The ChrisLin Method.
